Morokolo is the (Setswana) name for the indigenous Num-num tree which can be found growing in and around the lodge.
Buffalo regularly roam in this area as they take shelter in remote areas not accessible to other visitors to Pilanesberg National Park. Characterised by a beautiful forest of Tamboti trees and regular sightings of the bad tempered Black Rhino, the Black Rhino Reserve is home to the BIG 5 (Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Elephant, and White & Black Rhino) as well as cheetah and wild dog. Antelope species include Sable, Tsetsebe, Eland, Gemsbok and Springbok. With a species list of over 354, the Black Rhino Reserve is also a true "birders paradise".
Each main entertainment area overlooks a swimming pool with sun loungers. It is open plan and has a lounge with an LED TV, DSTV and DVD player, a beautiful bar area with pool table and various board games, and an outside patio area that seats up to ten people. We have covered parking for four vehicles at each.
Our lodge accommodates a maximum of twenty guests.
So whether you are a couple looking for an exclusive, romantic, private safari or you need to arrange a full family getaway, Morokolo Safari Lodge is the place for you. We also cater for small conferences and company getaways.
